Here are a couple of pictures of the Aultman. It is running and near to done. In May we put the decals on. We have to get the lugs on and paint the stripes.
Can't remember what all I said on the ealier post a couple of years ago but this is a kit tractor. The engine came out of a saw mill in MT, the front two thirds of the chassis from John at Crosby, the rear wheels from NY state, the bull gears were NOS from south of Chicago. That comprised the big pieces. We cast a couple of hand hold knobs and really found the rest. The rear end of the chassis had been cut off. I drew a blueprint off of the Aultman Taylor that used to be at Lake Elmo, MN. It was from that blueprint that we refabricated the rear end of the frame, the mid frame railes and the drop down frame that goes to the drawbar. The draw bar was built as well. Crankshaft supply in North Minneapolis, MN turned the crank. We have new valves, seats and guides in the heads, two new sleeves and two flame spayed pistons, new rings etc. The engine is strong. |

Beautiful restoration or should I say ressurection and done in a relatively short time frame considering the amount of work and research required. Good job!

Here are a couple of pictures taken at our threshing show held in late September. The tractor ran nice and started easily. We need to get the lugs on and finish pin striping the fenders. The project will then be complete. The second picture includes the club's 1914 wooden Aultman Taylor threshing machine. Each year we thresh with the Aultman Taylor threshing machine. It still has the original decals intact such as the farmer with the straw hat, the starved rooster, etc. The threshing machine had always been stored in a barn in NW Iowa prior to our club buying it. Enjoy the pictures.
