Question IHC corn sheller question

I am in the middle of fixing up my grandfather's corn sheller. The style is the all steel hand crank version without the little blower fan in the body. I know that there should be a decal located somewhere on it but I don't know what decal or where they were located. I need help. I have seen quite a few over the years at various shows but no origional ones. Only repainted ones with no emblems. Any pics or info would be of great help. Thanks much.

Yea, it is similar to a certain extent. The one I am working on has the common fluted tray and doesn't have the little blower fan in the lower section of it to clean the dust and chaff. If this is a true rendition of it the bracket on the crank side there is a little different in that the casting is curved a little. But I must admit, that one is close for the most part.

I have seen originals with either the Double Globe emblem or the McCormick-Deering emblem on the side.

Mine has the McCormick Deering on the sides. Mine came out of an old tobacco drying building in North Central Tn. Consequently it is pretty dark. I got the sheller just 6 months before the building caught fire while drying tobacco. Dick in the cooling down Finger Lake Region of NYS.

Here is a pic of a 2-hole IHC Keystone XL that I am rebuilding for a friend of mine. Had to replace a couple of boards and the feet. This will be a real nice sheller when completed. The IHC 150 years book only shows a stencel and a large XL on the side. Do you think it would be wrong to put an IHC decal on it?

Harry had a couple of images of the 2-hole wooden unit that had some pin striping and just a big "XL" on the hand crank side of the machine. These images came out of one of the catalogs if I'm not mistaken. I do have one image of the flywheel side of an actual unit that does show the words "McCormick-Deering" stenciled on the panel just below the bearing support beam. I'll try and attach pics.
