I recently came across some antique hand pumps that I was told were used specifically for pumping water into steam engines. One is labeled by Myers and the other one has no markings. Is there a website out there that has pictures and info. on vintage Myers pump products. I would like to research these a little further.

I looked at several pictures of "steam pumps" and that is not what I have. From what I have figured out these must have been on the water tender to transfer water to the steam engines tank. These pumps are made to be mounted and are pumped by hand much like operating a large floor jack. I will try and get some pics.

Chris, You perk my curiosity so I pulled out my 1928 Myers catalog and listed under "Miscellaneous Pumps" may be what you are looking for. They show two different General Purpose Double Acting Force Tank Pumps. I can't print although my son is home for a few more days and maybe he can send you a shot out of the catalog. Hope you can find more information. Dick in the beautiful Finger Lake Region of NYS.

Hello
Below is a Leader which was made in Decatur IL that I have have had at shows for some kids to play with. I have several more that need a checked out (see if leathers are good) and then mounting and plumbing the water pipes. They are made by several different companys.

Thanks Doug for the great catalog! I had no idea the Myers product line was that large. Anyway I found my pump on page 110. It is a Century low down double acting cog gear force pump. Now I know what it is, time to get it working.
