I suppose this is the best place to get this figured out--it is getting cold here--I tried to start my ole 620--won't go--I did all the things one does electrical--then I discovered there is no fuel to the carb--this tractor has a weird fuel system--somehow the fuel won;t go through the fuel bowl unless the engine is cranking--but now it won;t go through no how--there is fuel to and in the fuel bowl--it wont go any further--I think there is somekind of a valve in the top of the fuel bowl, like I have never seen before--my IT book only talks about a solanoid type--this is not that kind, no electrics here--what would be the problem? and the corrective action????HELP--I am gonig to have to scrape snow before the week is over,
thanks d,j,

Perhaps some water in the fuel system has frozen? I'd try dumping some wood alcohol (Methyl Hydrate) into the fuel tank and see if that frees things up.

these tractors used oil pressure to open the valve on the sediment bowl. there is a button you push down on the top to over ride. hope this helps

There was water in the fuel bowl--cleaned it out---and pushed the little overide button a hundred times--only a few drips of fuel--not getting the ant further--I took out a 1/8 fitting on the backside of the top of the fuel bowl--and gas ran out like crazy--so I know there is fuel in the area, just not going through the bowl !
damm-- it is snowing d,j, |

Did you try holding the button down on top of the sediment bowl?

You probably have junk around the pin the moves when you push the button. It is a round pin in a square hole, tends to get gummed up and won't flow fuel. You will have to remove the shutoff from the tank and dissassemble. I would suggest putting in new diaphragms if you have it apart.
