Ok thanks Alan. I just got it started tonight for the first time and it seemed to get hot fast. Thats why I was kind of curious. Did not want to Blow her up.

if you mean your farmall got hot as in boiling then you need to check your radiator if it just got to operating temp. then you will be ok i ran a 37 b john deere on gas alll the time pulling a 5 ft disck harrow for a hour or more just playing around and never had trouble

Well.... The Farmall Regular has a Thermo Syphon cooling system and the water Must get hot to circulate as there is No Waterpump. It works on the principle that Hot water is less dense and rises and as it cools in the radiator it will become heavier and will settle. I have ran 10 - 20's, F-20's and John Deeres all my life using a variety and mixtures of fuel and have never had a problem. Actually the larger engines used water injection to prevent detonation and induce a slight cooling effect. But they just let the smaller ones rattle when burning Kero.

RIRR, We never ran our 1937 A John Deere on kerosene, used what we called (Fual Oil). I think the nears thing to it now day is home heating oil. I may wrong, but it won't be the last time. From the river bottoms of East Carondelet Illinois. Thanks Jesse Z.
