Default Maytag 92 Flywheel

Hello All,

Would it be possible for someone to post a picture of the inside of a model 92 flywheel?

I just restored it and it seems that the large magnet and 2 small steel plates can go on multiple ways?

I appreciate any info.

Thank you,

Len

If I remember correctly, the magnet can only go on one way. Even if it could go one backwards (and it might be able to), it doesn't matter for the magnet. It's only function is to "drive" the flow of electricity through the coil. The small metal strips kinda give the "dwell" of the magnet to the coil and they are important. Also make sure that the metal strips don't hit the edges of the coil as it rotates. May take a few trial and error fits.

It turns out I had it right but I thank Denny for posting the picture to confirm it.

I am putting together a temporary plug wire until I get a new one as my current one is toast.

I will post pictures once complete and I remember to take my camera to the shop.
