Default I need advice on 1947 LB 1 /12/HP

Hello: I am a little new to this, having found a 1947 1HC LB 1 1/2-2 1/2 HP gas engine. I am restoring it, it has not seized and seems in pretty good condition. Any advice on what grade of gas and oil to use before I try firing it up? Would appreciate any help you can give, Bill

gas...cheap stuff from the pump (87) oil...motor oil. These engines are not very picky about what they run offa.
