Default Brackett & Shaw info

Brackett & Shaw of Somersworth, NH sold many different engines in the New England area. They started as Brackett & Shaw, changed to Brackett, Shaw and Lunt for a while, and went back to Brackett & Shaw. Can anyone tell me what years they were B,S & L? Thanks, Al Wait

Hi Al--

I have a 1.5 Stover K tagged "Stover" mfg. for Brackett Shaw and Lunt Co. The serial number by the Stover charts indicates 1916. This engine is original, still shows traces of the Stover decal, and is black. I havent' seen any others and don't know anything about the company

My 7hp Saxon is 1919 with a Brackett, Shaw & Lunt tag. My 1 1/2hp Saxon is 1918 with same name on tag and I used to have another Saxon of same size that was 1916, again with same name on Tag. I've also a coaster advertising the Fuller & Johnson 15B light plant and the dealer is listed as Brackett & Shaw but only out of Somersworth, NH. The coaster is probably from the early 20's.

Cheers! NICK

I have a 3hp Sandwich with a Brackett & Shaw tag.Since it has a Wico mag I would estimate it to be early to mid 1920's at the oldest. Chip

I have a 1 1/2 Saxon with a Brakett and Shaw tag (I don't remember if it has Lunt on it or not). Dates somewhere around 1923 i think.
