Question Wico EK and PR Mags

I was just wondering if a Wico PR magneto can be used in place of an EK model. Will they interchange?

If you mean can you just remove either mag off and replace it with the other, the answer is no.

It is too cold and too late for looking for the info right now. But the tripping is different, I do know that. Thought you may want a quick answer because I think there is PR (possible good buy) on ebay ready to go off. Helen

The Wico EK and PR will interchange, but on the PR you don't need the rocker arm return spring because the return spring is internal on the PR.

Thanks Glenn. I couldn't find George to ask him exactly what the difference is. But there is one on ebay from Canada that was under $160 US....Helen
