LB International Throttle Control

Got an LB that when I move the throttle control lever nothing happens. Was running away when I first got it but, after tinkering with the throttle shaft linkage I got it slowed down. Now it only runs a one speed, throttle lever has no effect. My first post on Smokstak, appreciate any help.

Fred if the head was taken off the throttle rod may have been turned.and the govenor spring may be pulling the throttle open instead of closed. I had the same problem on mine. I had to take off the plate to get into the crankcase and reverse the spring. Hope this may help. Dick in coldddd central Pa.

Dick, I believe the throttle shaft inside the crankcase was reversed when I bought the engine but I think I fixed that since the engine does not try to run wild when started now. Runs at a moderate speed but the external throttle adjustment lever has no effect on speed. I have not been able to load the engine since is has some water leaks and I had rather not run it for very long until I get those fixed. Thanks!
