Smile 4 Strokin!!!

Just thought I'd show you guys my latest new toy...it's a 20 hp Superior and what a sweet runner...I like to find engines in barn fresh condition or worse, but I couldnt refuse this one...most of the work has been done...just needs a little "personal tweeking"...I think I can retime the cam a little and get the RPM's down below 40...got it down to 44 right now...man is that slow!!..

You have something there on your Superior that I haven't seen much of. I'm talking about the gear guards on the gov gear. The gear guards are HARD to find! And how it looks like the hot tube is in the spark plug hole there on the side of the intake valve cage. The one's I've seen are in the top of the intake valve cage. Do you happen to have the name tag on it? I'm starting a "oil country type" Superior regestry. I knows there is VERY little Superior literature out there, and NO factory records. But it will be nice to see how many are out there, and how the serial #'s vary. Superiors have to be my favorite engines I have 3! And will probably be the closest thing I will ever get to owning an Otto Since Otto Was bought out by Superior in 1915. Nice Engine!!!!!!

Doug...unfortunately the tag is missing from this engine ...If there are any other identifying mark that will help just let me know...and I'll get them for you.
Yeah Harvey...and this engine starts a lot better than any of my HVID's also!!!!!
