Default 1 1/2hp jumbo

i got a 1 1/2 hp nelson brothers jumbo last week and it is missing the lever that you would move back and forth to adjust the speed of the engine while it is running. i was wondering if anyone would have a picture they could post of what this piece looks like so i could make one?

Charles,The speed control lever is just a piece of flat stock about 1/2" wide and about1/16" thick. It has a hole drilled for the pivot bolt and a small flange bent out at the bottom. This flange moves the detent lever in or out depending on the lever position.Easy to make but I will try to get a pic if you need it. I have a 1 1/2 Nelson Bros. Little Jumbo. I went out and took some shots of the speed control of my engine. The speed control on mine is a knurled thumb screw, not a lever. My engine is dated between 1915 and 1917. if you would like to see a pic of mine let me know.

My 1 3/4 hp Nelson Brothers has a knob that turns for speed adjustment also......which is the newer design? My 3 hp has a lever like you guys are describing.
