It sure do, looks like the valves and the piston are in one block for two cyl. Undo the rods and lift the head, piston and valves off as one unit. I think.

You are correct. The cylinders are cast in pairs and the valves are horizontal. If you are trying to remove the pistons, do the following. First remove the cylinder head and remove all three pans covering the opposite engine side. Remove the exhaust manifold, intake, and carb. Remove the rocker assemblies. Remove the rod bearing caps then remove the bolts holding the cylinder blocks to the crankcase. Remove the cylinder blocks.
Remember, an RE engine was designed by geniuses, to be fixed by monkeys. That is why I love them almost as much as I love banannas. The funny part is that I have been driving a ZTU since I was nine. I now qualify for membership in the old coot club. Age and treachery......a powerful combination.
Just remember to not do the final tightening, on reassembly, on the cylinder blocks until the manifolds and head are tightened. Good luck and remember to have fun.

Thanks Charlie for the information. I qualify as being an old coot and I like bananas also . This is my first Minneapolis Moline tractor. So, It is stuck but I need to disassemble it and figure out what is wrong. I will keep things posted on progress. Roger
