Here are some shots of a motor on a beef can. I hand made all of the parts but the 0-80 screws. The smallest screw and nut is the 00-90 that I had to make for the contact terminal. The motor uses a solenoid for it's linear power source and is made from five different parts that are pressed together in a two ton press. the bore is 1/8" and the stroke is 3/32". The stuff that looks like snow is actually dust.
I am currently working on a running scale model of a Crossley sideshaft engine in about the same scale, it will run on propane and will be a true hit and miss engine complete with a flyballs and all. Forrest A |
