Bob Kern sent me an email, of interest here...

"I have a friend here that has a dead nuts original Ideal with all the original paint intact. He is very up on Ideals and swears the colors are correct for all the Ideals he has ever seen. The flywheels are dark green, the crankcase is red and the cylnder/head is silver. He said the only color that would hold up under the heat of the old colors was silver. If I can be of any help let me know."

Looks like I'll have to repaint my flywheels and cylinder.

Now for a GIB puller to get 'em off again!
