Question Portland swap meet

This will be my first trip to the Portland swap this year. How does this one compare to the Le Seuer swap? I bought my first engine at Le Seuer. I'm going to be looking for a few items. One is a cart for a larger engine or just the wheels and axles. Is there usually some there?

Chances are, you will find what you're looking for. Whether or not it's at a price you want to pay is another story! Definitely a swap meet worth attending.

dale you won't be disappointed at portland.if you can't find it at portland you don't need it (lol).i don't agree with kyle on the check book thing.bring plenty of cash $$$$$$$$$.most of the dealers deal in cash only, they will not take a check.they don't know you and you don't know them.the real reason is if they sell a bunch of stuff and want to buy more what good is a bunch of checks that they can't use now. one thing about this engine hobby it seems it's cash driven.

I sometimes go to both LeSeuer and Portland spring swap meets. I think they are each about the same extra large size. they each have a little different flavor though. I think Le Seuer gets packed in a little tighter, and the action happens quicker there. For years the Le Center/Le Seuer meet was Sunday only. This brought everyone together for some frenzied buying and selling action. Portland's pace is little slower being spread out over more time. I think maybe there may have been a few more good rare engines that hame come to the Portland swap. Every year brings different things to them all.
