I am looking for a block gasket for a late John Deere GP tractor serial # 230730. Any ideas where I can find one?

Have you tried your local Deere dealer. Should be able to get it through them.

If you are speaking of the cylinder block to crankcase gasket, just get some vegetable fiber gasket paper from McMaster-Carr or a DECENT auto supply store (if there IS such a thing anymore~~~~~) and make it yourself. I would recommend 1/32" thick paper. Don't think thicker is better----it's NOT.
