Default IHC Model M Cylinder Sleeve Bore Sizes?

I finally received a use cylinder sleeve for my 1 1/2 hp IHC M, "Sparkplug" type engine, with the Wico EK mag, in the mail from a private party. When he answered my "wanted ad", he asked if I had the Ignitor or Sparkplug style engine. I told him I had the Spark Plug model, he said "okay", quoted me a price, and I paid him.
Only problem, the cylinder sleeve I received is a smaller bore than the 3 5/8" bore sleeve I have. ( 3 1/4", I believe).
Is it possible that IHC had "Sparkplug" model M 1 1/2 hp in the small and larger bore engines? Or did the seller make an error? Thanks for your input!

Hi Tom-
For all of the thousands (literally) of rings that I have sold over the years for the IHC 1 1/2 HP Type M engines I have never had a comeback because of calling the ring size wrong. The rule of thumb I have always used was that all the sparkplug engines take three rings 3 5/8" x 1/4" and the igniter engines take four rings 3 1/4" x 1/4". I would say that the seller got his wires crossed up or was so hot to get rid of it that he didn't care whether it was right or not. Any chance of a refund or exchange? That is unless another Stacker has a 3 5/8" sleeve to swap for a 3 1/4" sleeve??? How about it fellas??? You never know with the guys on this list. The Stackers are a right helpful bunch. Best of luck,
Thank you,
Dave Reed

I talked to the seller last night, and he agreed to send me the correct size cylinder sleeve, and that he must have "grabbed" the wrong one. Putting the two sleeves together, it's obvious which one is "bigger"....... not just the diameter, but the 3 5/8 ID bore sleeve is a little longer also. Hopefully I'll end up with a good usable sleeve. Thanks.
