Default Ohio Haypress

I was given an "Ohio Haypress" made by the "Ohio cultivator Co, Bellevue, Ohio" and would like any info about it. I know that Cockshutt was in there somewhere but not sure where. I searched the net but no good leads. HELP if you can. I don't know the year or model as there isn't any tags that I can find so far. Chuck

I have a catalog for the Ohio Cultivator Company from 1929. It shows that the company had humble beginnings in 1881. In 1929 their distributor in PA was Lancaster Storage Co.,Lancaster,PA. My catalog shows the same models that Larry's does. The "2" models were the heavier duty machines for making bales weighting up to 175 pounds. The "22" was the lighter machine for making bales up to 100 pounds. The A,B,C sub series produced different sized bales. The "A" make 14x18 inch. The "B" 16x18 inch. And the "C" 17x22 inch bales. The easiest way to tell the difference between the Model 2 and Model 22 is the difference in wheel base. The "2" wheel base was 8' 8". The "22" was 9' 3". The model "2" required a 6-8 horse power engine. The "22" a 6 hp engine. This catalog has 8 pages on these two models. It looks like this company made a full line of farm machinery, except engines or tractors. Hope this helps some.
