Ebay in their great wisdom, has come up with the "second chance offer" scheme so that they won't lose out on their sales commissions. Now scammers have picked up on this situation and they are contacting all the bidders after an auction closes, claiming to be the seller and offering the item to them for a price.
I had this happen to one of my recent auctions and I changed the auction item photo to the one shown below. You can't edit your eBay item link, but if you host your own auction photos on your web site, you can upload a new photo to the same link. It brought that crap to a halt on my auction! You are welcome to copy this and use it wisely yourself: ![]() |

Hello Harry, As a seller I like the second chance offers. It makes it kind of tough convincing the bidders that you REALLY DO have two or three of some of the great books and gas engine parts that I have to offer.Fortunatly I've been able to prove to several bidders that I was legit! Michael
