Default longbase-maytag-twin-1948after. /Don Henry

here we have a 1948,77th motor built after the one the dates spreadsheet.i am the 2nd owner of this engine. it was found laying by a pumpjack, and the bad thing was i wasnt even maytag hunting i was deer hunting and i happen to see the silver flywheel sticking out of the ground so i had to go back to town to get a shovel and dig it out. it was in pretty bad shape and was stuck so i restored it. i end up spending around $110 on it, with new bushings, new rings, new hardware, 2coats primer and heat resistant paint, and i clear coat. was lucky to find a longbase twin with the wico mag and i didnt even have to pay for it. i was glad to save it from the weather. i say it was the best money i had ever spent, because it will start on first or 2nd kick. THANKS TO DON. and i have to say i did a real good job for a 15 year old!!
