Default United Registry

After about 75 responses, I am about to publish the survey. Some questions:

Are all Type A Uniteds of Associated manufacture?

Are all Type H Uniteds kero/gas throttlers? Are there any Type A throttlers?

Of the 3 Type F registered, all appear to be either Waterloo or Gilson origin.

If anyone can add anything to these observations, I'd like to hear about it, either posted or email.

I read in a 1990 GEM about a Type C, s/n 956, 2 1/2 hp, belonging to a Jo Clarke in England. From the rather poor picture it looks like a Nelson Bros. Has anyone ever heard of a Type C?

Let me know if you want to register your United. Names and addresses will not be posted.

Dick Webber

I'd like to know more about the "F' There are 5 listed, 4 appear to be Waterloos, and I suppose they predated the Associateds. Since Waterloos can be roughly dated that would give a clue when United started sourcing Associated. Highest waterloo number I have is 79511 (1913)

Exclamation Re: United Registry

Hi Dick,
In the 1980's I had made a list of united and associated engines and serial #s -production dates, for the Gas Engine Magazine. If you want, I can llok up the issue, and give you the info - It is also on a website that someone else has posted.

Hi Rich Mueller Sr, Dick Webber has sent me a Whole bunch of pictures as we are in the process of, finally, the, Antique United Gasoline Engine Registry, the link is on my signature below.Still under construction yet, pictures, and ,videos ,on it will be linked to numbers in future. Good stuff Dick has found in 10+ years, just hope I can get the site, so the pictures, and, info gives a rough idea of styles ,original engines, and Real nice restored ones, and those very different ones, checkout the site as it is now... I checked the numbers this morning and that number is on the list already, If you have any pictures to send in a email attachment or a you tube video link would be appreciated to coaloilman@augermo.com Thanks Rich

Hi ya all , hey we done some major changes to the site, Still under construction, got a lot of link building to do yet, and need some good information. If you notice on the serial numbers now there is going to be a original advertizing for that line of engines and hp in a button right now just something United, well what I don't have is them all, to put in a data base page to link, any scans of original advertising will MUCH be appreciated . Also the blog area, with a way, to send pictures, is back, and if you have something to say with others , been looking at a computer all day and everything is blending together now , check it out, and a Big thanks to Dick Webber and Rick also more is coming soon Rich

Attention... Dick Webber and United owners I hope you like the newer look of the site, still not 100% done yet, but check out the serial number list now, I still want to get the advertising for the engine hp , that is kind of scarce , to use for the buttons for the serial number list. Rick showed me how to do it at 12 WED 12;30 tonight as I write this, I know I messed up some of it , maybe wrong pic with serial number, and. sure could use some more stuff now, this was all the pictures Dick sent me and what I had of mine and could find on you tube that had the serial number available, spread the word on videos of United,s they will be embedded and will be for posterity . Enjoy I am going to bed.....

Thanks Dick Webber I got the pictures you sent and posted them on site , made a screw up on the search thing, Rick is going to have to work on that, oops, But have put a couple more you tubes on too, if I have serial number to go by, eventually these will be embedded . So here is chance to get your United seen by more , if you have a you tube of your United running and it is not on the site, and there are a lot of NICE ONES I have seen but no numbers, put the serial number on your you tube and It will make the site look better. Kind of worked out good, although nice weather, I can barely move my right hand ,partly from working on the Air cooled I just got and a RA flare Thanks guys...
