Default New Way Model A, Type C, information

Hi, this is my first posting to the forum. I am helping a friend restore a New Way Model A, Type C, 3.5 HP, Serial # 10541. I would appreciate it if anyone could please let me know the year of manufacture of this engine. The air shroud is missing and we would like to know whether there are drawings and dimensions to build a replica - and also what gauge metal would be suitable. There appears to be only five New Way engines here only one of which has a home made replica shroud so have nothing to use as an example. Any help in this direction and history of this make of engine would be most appreciated.
