Default New old motor

A good friend of mine brought me a chicken coop fresh engine today. Its a IH 5 hp lb it turns over not much compression yet. He even had the original owners manual in good shape. He said he had a jd in the barn but did not know what shape it was in. I asked him how much do you want for the IH he said as he left you dont have enough money and smiled. The serial number is i think 30802 anybody know the year my guess is 1945 thanks Bob.

Bob,
Wendel's notebook says late 1942. The last number in 1942 was 30922.
Be sure to get it running and show your good friend!

Thanks
Richard
