Question Witte Diesel Engine Age Verification

Hey guys, I need a hand with this engine's age. I am pretty new to this stuff, and I have a Witte Diesel. From the serial # I figure that the engine is from 1942. The serial # is 3321. The Pushrods on this engine are on the outside of the engine and what I want to ask if if this feature of the engine corresponds with the age that I propose. Any input is appreciated. Thanks.

Mac

Well.... This one here is 5 HP and 1937, Serial # D687. Yours might be a 6 HP or 12 HP...?????

Hey thanks for the replies guys. The engine is a 6 hp and 850 rpm. I don't have a pic on this computer right now, so that'll have to wait.

For reference, here is a picture of my 5 HP Hopper Cooled Witte Diesel serial # D87 which makes it a 1935 model. Those Witte diesels sure run good. Hey Ken, your engine was exactly the 600th engine made after my engine...pretty neat.
