We lost another fine collector and friend.
John K. Parlett age 68 from Charlotte Hall, Maryland died May 1, 2005 after an extended illness.
John and his family hosted the Southern Maryland Farm Life Festival for the last 7 years in St. Mary's County. John and his family have hearts of gold and all proceeds from their show go to the Christmas In April project in St. Mary's County. John and his family not only collected tractors and engines but have one of the most extensive collections of household items, tools, carriages, sleighs, and implements housed in over a 60,000 sq. ft. musuem.

Their show will be held October 8th and 9th 2005.

I will like to express my heart felt sympathy to John's family and friends.
He will be greatly missed.

John J. Roop
Past President/Central Maryland Antique Tractor Club, Inc.

Mr. Parlett's collection is overwhelming. You could literally spend days and not see everything, just a couple of years ago they moved an entire old-tiime hardware store onto the museum property. The Farm Life Festival in October started small but has been growing each year. If you live within driving distance please join us with your display this year.
