Default Orginal Sandwich Haypress photo - 8 or 10hp??

Just came across this picture and thought you would like to see. Its either an 8 or 10 hp (what do you think) Sandwich with a Wizard mag. Feel free to cut and copy the picture to any website you may have this one is too cool to keep to myself. Notice the Fairbanks-Morse scale in the background.

That is a pretty neat old photo Randy. My guess on the hp would be 6 or 8.

Randy,
Have not been able to contact you using either the email address I have or through Harry's.
How is progress on repro 1 1/2 hp Sattley muffler and the Stover cream separator gear?? It has been well over a year since I sent you the original muffler & nine months since I've last heard from you. I told you that I was not in a "great hurry" but I think it is about time.

Good morning,
This is my first venture into this Farm Collectibles site. I've had this cover scan of my grandfather's Sandwich Hay Press. I have a couple of pieces of the literature. My dad and brothers loaned the hay press to a neighbor who took the press to his "mountain place". The calendars went by and people died. I finally met the person who bought that mountain place many years later. I mentioned my dad's family owned the old Sandwich Hay Press he had and he said "they did." Then years later, I discovered he'd given it to the old iron club at Lewistown, Montana. I figured it had a good home and it looks fine restored.

Just a reminder. In observance of the 150th Anniversary of the founding of Sandwich Manufacturing Co. (Adams & Sons) in Sandwich in 1856, and the 35th Annual Gas Engine, Tractor & Farm Toy Show, The Sandwich Engine Club will host a reunion of Sandwich Engines and Equipment at our show on June 24 and 25, 2006 at the Sandwich Fair Grounds, Sandwich, Illinois. Also to be featured will be New Idea Engines and Equipment. We will have 3 or more Sandwich Hay presses plus 7 or more power Corn Shellers and much more on display. You are invited to bring your Sandwich engines and equipment to this years Show and enjoy the weekend. . http://www.oldengine.org/members/sandwich/showinfo.htm
