Default Board Layout on SmokStak - VOTE!

There are two polls open, one on Small Engines and one on the Paint Shop. If you care about what you see here and how it functions, you may want to express your opinion.

Two factions exist: more boards for this and that, or keep it all in one pile.

just me but i think everything is good just the way it is, more stuff, more confusing. and the less time it takes to go right to something you wanna look at. just my opinion though.

Don't overlook this feature to tie all boards in together:

I'd say go with your gut feeling. Your judgement has been really great in the way you've handled this board so far. You have done a great job......go by what you think. I'm with YOU.

I have to go with Chuck on this one. Everything works great for me the way it is but if you change anything, we will get through it with no problems. Look at the list of members you now have. I would say most were reading your OLD message board and have switched with little or no problem.

Let us know what you decide,

Jim

Whatever you decide is fine with me Harry! It's working great for me on this very slow dial-up.

Thanks much

Sparkie...I would think a neat feature would be to show who's in the "chat room" before entering. I think some feelings get hurt when one enters and quickly exits.

justa thot

If you check the main forum page: http://www.smokstak.com/forum/ and look in the "What's Going On" section, you should see a listing of who is in the chat room.

Unfortunately, that list doesn't indicate which room they are in so you'll have to swap rooms to find them. If it's empty, it will report: "No one is currently inside vBChat."

I'm perfectly happy the way it is. I have no problem with small engines and big engines being together. I like them all. I now go from 5hp down to a Maytag 92, with a couple of B&S in between. Whatever works best for you Harry. You have to deal with all the "puter" problems that I don't begin to under stand. Thanks for asking. Dick in the beautiful Finger Lake Region of NY.

I like it just the way it is, Harry. I'm not much on changes, anyway, but you do whatever you gotta do. We'll get it figured out, one way or another!

I guess I tend to read the big engines, and would go to the small engine board or the paint shop when needed. I like original engines so the paint shop isn't where I'd usually go. But, you do a great job Harry and I trust your judgment.
