I reciently got the manual for my 1945 Hobart PE-197 from http://www.boyceequipment.com/ . They had to order it from where i don't have a clue. The price was not unreasonable.

Your TM manuals do not show up on the Military Logistical Support website.

This may be of interest to some. I spent 30+ years in the Military

TM= Technical Manual

5= Engineer Equipment

6115= Generators, Converters and such

296 would refer to the unique generator

1= operators manual (how to operate, check oil, weight, and such

2= Organizational manual (change plugs, etc

3= Direct Support (minor overhaul, modifications, etc)

4= General Support (major overhaul)

5= Depot Support ( complete overhaul, rebuild, refinish, etc)

So a -12 manual would be operator/organizational preventative maint.

-34 would be direct/general support manual

-15 would be operator thru depot support

and the parts manuals end with a P i.e. 20P, 34P and such.

LO= Lube Order (this would be of interest to us as it contains all the lube points and intervals)

TB= Technical Bulletin

MWO= Modification work order (something that improves? the design)

Here's the website for Army manuals..all public info, but it only goes so far back.

https://www.logsa.army.mil/etms/online.htm

Hope this helps a little to more understand military manuals
