Was at an auction on sat. JD 3hp complete no compression $550 JD 1.5 brass tag very stiff almost...

Was at an auction on sat.
JD 3hp complete no compression $550
JD 1.5 brass tag very stiff almost stuck, but complete $ 360
1.5-2.5 IH LA $150 complete except for valve cover, running condition
All engines where barn fresh. and none followed me home
They also had a AC WD $1700 or 1800 with a poor loader
and a Farmall c with cultivator and mower for $2025.00, the tractors where in out of the field condition.

Just a side note, there where 2 of us there who collected engines and a bunch of others, including the auctioneer, where thinking we where nuts to even bid an engine up to that price.(especially on the 1.5 JD). Little do they know Also all engines had no cracks breaks or welds.

Those look like bargin basement prices on the engines, to me. I've been at auctions where the selling prices for those JDs were close to the opening bids.

It looks like those John Deere's are on ebay right now. (7516651564 & 7516651698). Looks like the guy bought them just to put them on ebay to make a profit
