Photo lathe, maybe,, maybe not

Is there anyone out there who can tell what this machine was used for and
who may have manufactored it.

Hey Dick---the photo's a little fuzzy but it looks like a wood lathe to me. As to a manufacturer...could be one of hundreds I suppose.....
