Default 25hp Titan

Hey guys, I saw an old photograph today of a 25hp tank cooled Titan running a thresher. Didn't know they made them that big, just curious as to how big they did make the Titan's. Was that it, or are there larger ones than that? David.

According to an IHC book, the tank cooled came in up to 25 HP. And the hopper cooled came in up to 12 HP. The 25 HP tank cooled weighted in at 7765 lbs. and on a cart, 8862 lbs.
I know that IHC also made a 50 HP two cylinder upright. and a two cylinder opposed as a Mogul "Giant".

Thanks Mike, I've been trying to scan the pic, but the photo was taken from a distance to get the combine pushed by horses and all the other equipment that was being used at the time plus all of the family and friends that were helping. So the pic is rather small and won't scan very well, at least not with my ability on computers. Maybe once I figure out how to enlarge things on this gizmo I'll try again. I can tell you one thing, by the looks of the picture, it is fun to play with this old iron, but I sure am glad we don't have to work with it like they did back then. David.

By today's standards in farming the old iron and associated machines look like an awful lot of hard work. Considering the entirely manual labor those engines were replacing it was "easy street".

Kenny Wolfe has a 25hp in his collection or at least he did last fall. I think I have a picture of it somewheres.
