Paul
Does anyone have a sunshine report for this weekend, hate to drive 5-6 hours to get there and sit in a rowboat all weekend, just checking weather looks a little dismal down here

Wow, what a beautiful day!! Plenty of goodies, I left with an empty envelope and a full truck, wish I'd had more room. So what did the rest of you guys take home?

I got a few parts for my Farmall. but could not believe the number of engines and parts there. I don't ever remember this much stuff here. There are still 2 Ottawas there for about 150 apiece. Same guy, up by the model shed.

Attendance was definitely WAY up vs. last year, and the prices were actually reasonable...except, of course, for that 1/2 HP New Holland with a $15,000 price tag...OBO

Nothing followed me home except a buzz coil, a Briggs 5S for parts, and a 5lb coffee can filled with odd grease cups (including a few Lunkenheimers), but that was the plan...I'm REALLY out of room.

Thumbs up Re: JACKTOWN-Bangor, Pa SWAP MEET this weekend May 21-22, 2005

All in all I had a really nice day there, but its hard not to. Great food, and great friends. Even got to put some faces to names. I left there with a really empty envelope. But thats ok. Its worth it. Just gotta sell some stuff to make up. I too noticed the attendance was up, I couldnt believe how busy it was. Great selection of engines too. I saw some newcomers leave with a new engine. It was good to see that. Saw the 1/2hp New Holland....... looked ......examined ......and kept walking. Too rich for my blood. Still lookng forward to July. Will be nice to get the toys out again.

Ah YES: It was a "GREAT" day and the weather certainly co-operated. Met a few "STACKERS" and old friends. The place was "PACKED" with something for everyone. Well almost, as I left with a pretty full envelope. But I guess I'm just getting picky. I didn't take any photos of the engine related stuff as it was mostly associated with late model riding lawnmowers and tractor items. If you were early(I wasn't) there were some good engine buys if you just want another engine to work on and get runing. Saw a nice "BARN FRESH" United on a cart with a mag for $1080, several IHC Tom thumbs at $1,800, 3HP IHC Vertical at $2,500(rough and stuck, but all there), a 12HP Sandwich was taking offers and $5,000 wasn't enough yet, a 2 1/2 nice running Domestic(Igniter type for $2,800), a running F/J 2HP with a WICO at $850, a JD-E "MODEL" at $2,400 on trucks that I passed on, and a neat little homemade hydraulicly operated rock crusher for $100. The food was "GREAT" as usual, the entertainment was lively, and best of all, I had Saturday night "OFF".

Paul:
I did not run into you but I was there, the fairbank verticle sold for $1600.00 and the Domestic sold for $2700.00, never got any more offers on the Sandwich guess that the top bid was all it was worth, I got a lots of goodies, engine parts and everything else, cutting torch, chains, oil can and a little of everyting else, looking forward to the fall show

Bill, We're awfully glad you took the ride to Jacktown. Met some folks from Wilmington, DE and the Eastern Shore too. Be interesting to know from how far away others came.

I picked up a Kohler electric light plant to work on - like I need something else to work on! Sound familiar?
See you at the summer show.
By the way, I'm the guy that usually shows the sewing machines at Jacktown although I haven't been able to do the whole set up in a while. Maybe this year.
Regards, Wil...

I had plans on going back Sunday with a trailer full of stuff, but the truck decided to have tranmission problems. I sat home dying a thousand deaths. There goes all my engine money.
