Default Engine Insurance

With all the time and money I have spent on restoring engines I decided I wanted insurance on them. I looked around and no one could offer me special insurance on just the engines unless I signed up for collectors insurance. $$$$

Changed home owners insurance and my agent tells me he can insure anything. So I say how about that 15hp. Reid engine sitting in the barn. He looks at it and scratches his head an minute.

Yes I can put a rider on your policy to insure it. And he does! $40 a year covers theft, fire, storm, accident (even on the road). Trailer is covered under liabitlity when towed behind your vehicle. General liablity is covered under home owners liability coverage.

Also covered my smaller engines under a policy. have to give him serial numbers descriptions and values.

If you want your engines covered in case! call your home owners insurance agent. Nearly all companies cover them under collection riders.
