Default St. Marys 10hp has arrived

I picked up the St. Marys 10hp heavy oil engine I had been looking at while on my Portland trip. I had seen pictures of it with a yardstick shown for scale, but still was shocked when I saw it in person. This thing is huge! Talk about a beast! It's not shown in the pic, but there is a huge round fuel tank that sits over the hopper - about 5 gallons worth. It is in really good shape - it was exactly as Mike Cummins had described it. This was the first time I had met or dealt with Mike but he couldn't have been any friendlier or straightforward to deal with.

I have a few too many other projects to jump into this one immediately, but I do hope to work on it some this year. The main thing it needs other than a lot of cleaning is new bearings poured for the rod, mains, and pushrod slide since it was in a fire. Oh, and it does also need a new exhaust rocker since half of this one is missing. Anyone have one of those laying around? Probably have to look at pictures and try to reproduce the missing half for the foundry to mold from.

Also - does anyone have any St. Marys literature?

Thanks,
Jason

Great Looking engine Jason. I second the request for any literature. Photocopies are fine. Anyone out there that can help?
