Question Hercules Muffler

I have a 2hp and a 3hp set of Jaeger engines. They both seem to have stock type cone mufflers made of cast iron. Question is, did they both come with the same size muffler? I think that all Hercules built engines would be the same on this question. The reason I ask is the 2hp muffler looks right, but the same size on the 3hp looks small and out of purportion.

Default Re: Hercules Muffler

The standard cone muffler for a 2 HP Jaeger has 1" pipe threads. The standard cone muffler for a 3 HP has 1 1/4" piper threads and is larger overall than the 2 HP muffler.
