Have seen folks use these to power up their house during a power outage. Use the swimming pool for cooling water. Guess you could also use a couple of 55 gallon drums. One thing to be careful of, if no heat exchanger, used water directly, the inside of the engine might not be in good condition. Water at 180 degrees is very corrosive to iron and steel and rots it away in very short order.
The pumps Bily mentioned are the weak point on those machines, find and keep on hand a couple of rebuild kits for them.
Good solid reliable machines, last a long time with some care. Heavy enough to be used as a second anchor.

I know of people who have removed the water pump completely and installed a 110v aquarium pump. It just needs to pump 3.5 gpm and they will run forever. I did it 2 years ago and haven't had a water problem since.
