Default Re: detergent oil on babbit bearings

Do not use detrgent oil in an Aermotor windmill. The oil will not hurt the berings but grit held in supinson will. They are not tight enough to keep dirt out and the babbit will not last a year in this country. But Non Det. oil and regular service they will last many years.
