Reeves steamer at Cent. WI auction

Among a LOT of other things at this sale is a Reeves engine. I'm not home to check my books but I think it's a 20-70 double/simple.
I cut out the old flues and beaded the new ones as well as modified some HEAVY grates for it (I ran it once...wish it would have be more!). I'm not sure of the boiler condition NOW but I HEARD the owner FORGOT to drain it and there is some pillowing in the water bottom.

Well.... I wasn't at the sale But... I heard the Reeves went for 9500 $ and went to Slinger Wisconsin....

Do you know the engine number on that Reeves? Was that the one that John Schraeder had?

Yes Chuck, that was John Schroeder's engine but I do not know what number it was.
Being a water bottom I expect the new owners will have to spend some $$$ to get it re-certified though....
