Default I got one!!!

Just acquired an original IHC M 3 HP engine (havent had a good look, but know it has ran recently), now to decide whether to paint it. I will try to post pictures soon
Im working on a W14 Mccormick Deering right now and I was just wondering if the ihc M dark greeen paint was the same as the one used on some of the tractors, If anyone has a paint code that would be great too.
Thanks

Mike Inglis

I would REALLY Consider NOT Repainting it unless it is a Rust Bucket, If it has any orig. Paint on it at all.Leave it!!Years to come You will app. it's "Character" I restored My First Engine, If I had it to go over, It would be Original.. Thanks, Larry

Mike, the dark green paint for the M's could be;

Adirondack Green 84155
DIT CROSS 40496
Rustoleum Hunter Green.

Congrats with your new toy

Hey Mike.
So you got the "M", eh ? If it's as original as you explained to me earlier, I think you better just get out the soap & water followed by the boiled linseed oil with mineral spirits routine. I think it's best said that an engine is only in it's original clothes once....you can always repaint an engine but you can't make it "original paint" again. TTYL.
