Default IHC M help needed

I have a 1-1/2 hp M that I cannot get to run smoothly. I think I have tried everything (that I know) to smooth it out. Timing, ex valve timing, air valve spring, mixer adjustments. I don't know what else to try. At the end of my rope Thanks for any and all info.

Is it an Igniter model or spark plug...???? Does it miss at random or does it 8 Cycle ( Hit every other powerstroke...????) The most common reason these run Bad is a weak exhaust valve spring or poor spark. The weak spark could be weak igniter springs or lost motion in the igniter or if spark plug could be plug gapped too close or weak Wico EK.... Kinda hard to tell what the problem is from here...

It's a spark plug engine. The engine will run ok for about 10 seconds and then start firing randomly. I have tried 2 mags on it with the same result. I have a third Wico but will charge the magnets and clean it up b-4 I put it on. I also will check the exhaust valve spring. Today is Fathers Day and maybe I can do what I want today. ( Not likely)

Rich:

Try replacing the spark plug.

Take care - Elden

Be nice for your M and give her the right sparkplug, AUTOLITE 3077.
The best there is for a M
