they seem to be going crazy $300 is even normal can't figure it out myself but those auction looked fishy to me and a lot of them on ebay have looked that way latly there was a massy tractor that went out of sight (not a rare model or anything special) several 0 feedback bidders.

Well the 125 I paid for a good looking and good running 92 last year don't look to bad now. Soon it will be in a crate and on it's way to Sweden for my Grandson along with an IH 1 1/2 M he likes . Maybe he will be the only 6 year old in Sweden with one of these . At least he can chase the bugs away !

There are a ton of scammers on ebay right now, they are trying to run the cashier check scam on sellers, so they run up the bids.

Nothing special at all. It was missing the air cleaner too. Two newer bidders that probably just discovered engines on eBay had a bidding war. I put on two nicely restored Maytags on Wed. night. I hope they do as well but will be happy with what I get.

Around Baltimore you will find not one person in a thousand that seen a Maytag engine or even heard of one. May help explain the price with at least one of the bidders. kevin

He claims $549 is a good deal. Yeah, right, the only way it would be a good deal is if it were a Fruit Jar Maytag.

That's what an auction is about. Finding the person who is willing to pay the most too much for it. One thing about e-bay, the exact same item will sell for wildly different prices from day to day. Generally if you fine several that have sold and throw out the highest and lowest you will come up with a pretty good value.

Unless you have a reserve price auction, then it only takes one fool.

In the single cylinder kick start style the long frame is very common. There are three basic tank styles and they are all about the same to find. There is one style of short deep tank that is very scarce. The rear of that tank looks similar to the back of a long base tank. The front looks like the short deep tank. The long frame twin, however, is very scarce.
