Exclamation Brownwall flywheels

Working on a little Brownwall engine today and noticed it has two left hand flywheels!? Is this correct for these engines? The hollow cast counterweights are 180° apart and spokes don't line up at all. Engine has never been messed with and shows very little wear. Runs but bounces very badly, maybe this is why it saw so little use..... I took pulley side flywheel off and flipped it around, things line up much better. Anyone else run into this?

Cheers NICK

I have, but only when idiots or monkeys have been at work. Remember, some of the factory workers of the period were the lowest common denominator. Al Wait
