Default Hurricane and rain

Rode out the storm OK here in Sarasota. We had on and off rain and a tornado warning this morning, but all is well. I don't like dodging bullets though and if one of those gets close enough, it could be a rough deal. Somehow, I just don't trust my insurance company to play it straight.

It seems that no matter where you live, there can be one problem or another from forest fires to floods to earthquakes. I guess we all dodge bullets of one form or another.

I checked your forecast from up here to see how bad a spot you were IN.
You were fortunate, for you and some subcribers down there, things could have been MUCH worse. Oh.....INSURANCE COMPANIES??

Harry glad to hear all is well. I Live in Pensacola Fl. We had trees down and other minor damage.( NO POWER) the generator is running and hopefully they get us power soon. I went through hurrican Ivan and had a lot of damage My insurance company was great! they came to inspect the damage just 1 day afteer the storm. They were very thurough in there inspection to get us the most. Food spoilage was covered, debree removal, labor, and inflation, were some of the things that they covered I had no idea about. My insurance company is USAA I highly recommend them to anybody after last year. I would also like to say that FEMA also did a wonderful job and came out and helped Pensacola out a lot. With temporay housing, food, grants, loans, you name it. Just a little side note. If a hurricane does hit you go buy a generator, chain saw, shope vac, gas, and dehumidifier. FEMA will 100% reimburse you the cost of these items.

I wish Byron! I am currently stationed in pensacola. I am in the Marines and go where uncle sam takes me. Although pensacola is home I listed Wilmington on my bio because its where I grew up and all I know. And as luck would have it for florida people there is another one on the way. gotta luv those hurricanes and tropical storms.
