Angry Way off topic.....Boat motor

I just aquired an old fiberglass boat (Astro Craft) with a West Bend Shark-O-Matic "800" stern drive, not an outboard. all my web searches have turned up no stren drives just outboards. if any body has any info or can refer me to a good forum for boat motors I would Be thankful. I haven't been able to get numbers off the engine yet do to a big mouse nest sitting right on top of the engine and too many bees to clean it off yet ( I Hate Bees).

Default Re: Boat motor

i've made some progress, i've gotten a service manual. i still need to take the stern drive off so I can start working on the motor. but so far every thing looks good. it looks like the motor was winterized before storing. I'm going to pull the motor and stern drive off and take it to where i work so I can fix it during the winter, the hull is in real good shape and just needs to be cleaned and polished, and new seats and canvas top. this is going to be fun. made in 1962 and production was stoped in 1965. parts are going to hard to find. but it don't look like I need many parts.

thanks for all the help.
