I wish I had the August issue by now. Got the July issue on June 27 or so. Would like to get them close to the time they USED to get here.

What I am impressed about this thread is that nobody blamed the Postal Service which is what happens in most of these cases.

Sorry for any confusion fellas; what I meant was the AUGUST issue. I'm working on the September issue right now, so I just got confused. The August issue just mailed out this past Tuesday (the 19th), so you should all have them by early next week.

The reason your GEM is later than Farm Collector is because they are on totally different schedules, so they mail out at different times. I know they used to arrive at about the same time, but that was just coincidence that their schedules were so close. Both schedules have changed now, so they will be different from here on out. Sorry for any inconveniences this may cause.

As far as page content, we try very hard to keep up with the previous year's content, at the very least. However, paper costs are going through the roof – a 40% increase over the past year alone. We are doing all we can to get you guys a quality magazine with as much content as we can squeeze out.

Keep me posted guys!

Angry Re: Gem

COME ON GUY'S!!!!!! We are LUCKY to even HAVE a magazine publisher that will do this. The LAST thing you all need to do is complain about the service and that you did'nt get your magazine on the (regular) date! GEM is a very good magazine, even though it does'nt have alot in it, it is still very fun to read about other collectors out there. Remember, this is supposed to be FUN, not curse and cry because something does'nt come in on the required time.

Thanks for the encouraging words guys, we really are doing all we can to make this the best possible magazine. The paper costs have been our biggest battle, but we still have our heads above water. As I said previously, you all should have your August GEMs in the mailbox by early next week, if you haven't already received them. I appreciate your patience and look forward to seeing you guys at some of the shows this year!

Chuck I have every issue of Gas Engine Mag and it is definately bigger now than before. As far as ads, what do you think pays for the magazine, and we as hobbyists should be very glad that there are ads to keep the part sources in business. And to IHorse we are talking about the august issue. It is still over a week before the first of August, so I think they are right on time. I guess if you cancel your subscription let me know and I will give a gift subscription to a friend. Great magazine and we all need to be glad it just keeps getting better.
