As I said before--GEM has crappy service--they are going to lose customers, if thay don;t get it together--I had to ask for a replacement copy last mo--not the first time either--I like their mag--just bad service--I posted this before--but I suppose harry did not like the word crappy-censored me apparently-well here it is again-even when I paid for express service--the mag came just the same as reg bulk mail--no value there-they just don;t seem to care--

got mine today...no complaints-I have not had to deal with GEM's customer service...but I can tell you, from what I have heard it is no comparison to that of streetrodder. they cancled my subscription for no reason...tried to bill me wrong...prevented me from getting the proper issues...have sent me (2 times over with different issues) 3 of the very same...promised to get things take care of...did not...I still am missing issues from last year-no extras...yeah...that was fun

just remember...someone always has it worse off.

Mac Leod (and yet I am still )

Angry Re: Gem

I read these comments about some engine someone saw in GEM in the Aug. issue and I am upset. GEM has always come in the early part of the month and FC later. Well I've had my FC since the early July and still no GEM. Too many irons in the fire becoming a show sponser? My ZIP is 14840. Please send me my GEM. Dick in the beautiful Finger Lake Region of NY.

I'm sorry Dick, you should've received your August issue NO LATER than today. So yes, I will send a copy out to you first thing in the morning (mail's already gone out today). I'll assume you want it sent to the 301 address?

I apologize to all of you once again for the delay in receiving your magazines. I honestly don't like it any better that you do.

Oh, and Mac Leod – I too have had problems with several Primedia mags I subscribe to, Street Rodder included. Just goes to show you that even the big boys have problems once in awhile!

Sorry for the slow response guys; been busy getting the Sept. issue out and had a show to hit this past weekend.

Anyway... Byron, I honestly can't tell you about your August issue. I would assume if you were going to get it you would've received it by now. Or, you can call Customer Care at: 1-800-678-4883. They should be able to fill you in on that kind of thing.

David, surely you've recieved your August issue by now, right? If not, give us a buzz at the above number and we'll get you taken care of.

Have a good one!

Talking Re: Gem

Thanks for the prompt service Jason. I guess I got a little anxious because I got two. I hope you don't mind if I share it with my grandchidren. Dick in the very warm and muggy Finger Lake Region of NY.
