Question John Deere "Patio Series" Mowers

I was given a John Deere 112 with the Hydraulic Left from my uncle the other day, When I brought it home I noticed there was alot of white paint under the green paint, I took the serial and type number off the tractor to see how old it was when, I looked it up it said it was a 1971 and the original color was white ?? when I saw that I was surprised , I said a white John Deere ? after doing a couple internet searches, this Tractor was discribed as a "Patio Series" tractor and said to be a collectors items these day more deseriable then the regular 112's which go for good money as it is, does anyone out there have pictures of these tractors or more info about them, I was just going to part it out to make a little extra money, but now I think I am going to save it, and eventully restore it, after my IH Cub 127 which is first on the list since I got it first
Thanks,
~ Jonathan

Default Re: John Deere "Patio Series" Mowers

We just got a 1969 140 H1 Patio Tractor. Ours is "Sunset Orange". It needs work, but it runs, drives and the hydro lift works. The seat needs some help, but it is still the orange seat for it. A friend bought it for us at a steal! The man who sold it to him said it was the wrong hood for it that it was not original. Our friend didn't believe us that JD made these tractors, untill I printed up some info on them, then he was like "I got a good deal on it then".
