Photo 1909 Evinrude ???

I have 2 motors that were in an abandoned garage that was on my property when I bought it. One I know is a Johnson model# A9458 and the other is an Evinrude first edition, I think??? With a stamped #8 on some parts. Does anyone have any knowlege or pictures of his first series or pre 1917 motors and is anyone interested in buying both or one. In the evinrude motor is one spark plug from I.S.P. Co. called a "neverskip" or "never skip" "more spark" spark plug manufactured in Elmira N.Y. with what looks like "775". The other 2 on the johnson are Champions but old...I have pictures galore if anyone wants a peak but through email would be the best... ophillys@verizon.net and my name is Chris..Thanks for looking and someone please add to this thread..

just wondering if you could post a picture of the spark plug...I thought spark plugs did not catch on till the 20's...even though the first plug was made in the 1880's

Thanks

Not positive on what years those are. Looking in the one book I have though it shows that

Evinrude
A(#3000-7200) = 3.5 1915-1922
A(#50,000 and up) = 2 1915-1928

According to the book I have the only A series made by Johson were the following.

A = 2 1922-1924
A-25 = 1925-1926

and it goes up from there. The book could be incorrect but it is a factory reference manual. I know that sometimes the plates are pretty scratched up, is it possible that the numbers are incorrect?
