You can loose wieght for free and show how tough you are. Spend a week in our shop during July, August and first half of September. Don't post any pics of below zero. Anyone can dress for that. You CAN'T take enough off for this.

I'm from "up north" in Nebraska and last weekend for our Camp Creek Threshers show it was 98 on Saturday and 100 on Sunday - so we get the best of both worlds - and I wouldn't live anywhere else. In western Nebraska, the temperature varied 60 degrees in one day last week - from the 40's in the morning to over 100 in the afternoon. Jim

thats only half the story. what was the humidity? around 92? 95%?
but still, we would not know what to do with the snow they get. My dad would always say "yeah, but they get a dry snow" |

CT has been hovering in the mid-high 90s with around 80% humidity...so humid it's almost foggy. You walk outside, stand still, and start sweating.

Interesting, second guy from Texas in the last month to indicate we don't know what heat is. Topping 100 for the last week or so, and hitting 120+ in the plant where I run an extruder, and that's 12 hour shifts with nowhere to go to get away from it. I worked the oilfields in Texas from Beesville (where my oldest was born ) and points south, never had the heat and humidity we're getting here. But then again, I have to admit I was 25 years younger at that time, and weather didn't seem as hot and iron didn't seem as heavy. ( Not knocking Texas, my mom is from Port Aransas and would have my hide if I said anything against the Lonestar.) David.

Just be thankful we dont all live in Arizona.
NOW, you want to talk about hot, I used to work in a welding shop where I was welding probably at least 7 hours out of the 9 hour day. That SUCKS in 95-110 heat, which it usually gets around here in the summer for 2 months. If it is 110 outside, it felt like it was about 140 when you strike and arc I dont miss that......but I love to weld

I hear ya Tanner. I took three years of welding shop in my school years (hasnt been to long since graduation only a year) It would be 100 outside and I'd be out there running a cutting torch or even the arc welder in those heavy leathers and heavy clothing. It would feel like it was at least 130 or 150 when the arc was struck or I was running the torch. Welding is a fun thing to do and a good skill to have especially in this hobby.

We cooled down to 105 here in Phoenix AZ. Got up to 116 couple weeks ago. Average is about 110 this time of year. Sure dont take long for the water hopper to reach a boil.
